Save the floppy

by FBlog Administrator on Jul 7, 2010

If I would ask you: Do you still use floppy discs?

Your answer would probably be NO – are you kidding? How 1990 are you!?

My answer would be: Okay – let’s bet. I bet that you use a floppy disc many times a day. What is your offer?!

And if you believe or not – you have no chance to win this bet – if you use Office. I assume the same for many MACs

Have you ever had a proper look at the symbol Microsoft  Office uses for saving documents? A symbol you are used to use many times a day to save your work?

It still is the symbol of a floppy disc.

Sometime we are getting blind for the obvious, because we had so many looks at it. To take a second look at familiar things can be amazing. Try it out – get inspired.

save

PS: Which symbol would symbolize “save” in todays world….? Any ideas???

“Save” and “Save as” handled by menu option – no symbol needed.
Your post made me fall of the kitchen chair with laughter.
    Cheers.
